Requirements development • Coordinate with vehicle OEMs to develop battery requirements and co-ordinate with subsystems to derive component specifications. Manage cross-functional development • Coordinate with thermal, mechanical, cell science, firmware, algorithms, and testing team to converge specifications to meet system level requirements. BMS continuous improvements • Perform tests to study BMS behavior in various edge case scenarios and provide feedback to FW team relevant towards improving the safety and performance of BMS. • Help vehicle engineers with BMS FW issues during vehicle testing to meet vehicle level test goals and requirements. • Study CAN traces from batteries in the field to identify any potential issues and provide feedback to FW team. Regulatory standards and DVPR • Studied ECE R100, UL 2580, DNV GL, SAE 2464 and other similar international regulatory standards. • Developed verification and validation plan for a product to meet regulatory standards of USA and Europe with minimal efforts/testing Testing and validation • Developed various test plans to execute edge cases to ensure the battery/firmware is behaving as intended. Study the results and provide appropriate feedback to respective teams for improvement. End of line parameters • Currently working with functional leaders to identify various parameter thresholds and hence decide pass/fail criteria for the assembled battery system.
