About Aditya Umate

I am Aditya Umate, a final year undergraduate student in the Civil Engineering Department at IIT Bombay. I am inclined towards pursuing core Civil Engineering as a career and I\'m planning to do Masters in Construction Management. I gained professional experience in Civil Engineering by working as Structural Design Trainee at Shrikhande Consultants as a part of my 2nd year summer internship. Apart from gaining academic knowledge and developing skills in my domain of interest, I have learned invaluable qualities of leadership and skills such as time management, effective communication etc. through various experiences such as representing IIT Bombay at the Seismic Design Competition 2024, being a class representative and undertaking positions of Department Research Coordinator and Department Academic Mentor. Giving back to the society is also important, hence I work as an active member at the National Service Scheme, IIT Bombay.
