About Aditya Shukla
I build high-scale web architectures that don\'t just display data—they think. As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart Global Tech, I have moved beyond traditional full-stack development to architecting Generative AI solutions that automate complex enterprise workflows. My focus is on bridging the gap between hyper-scale frontend performance and the emerging layer of Intelligent Systems. Most recently, I’ve been leading the charge in integrating AI into Walmart’s internal tooling:AI-Powered Automation: Spearheaded the POC for integrating LLM APIs into the CMS (Content Management System), automating manual tasks like Alt-Text generation and reducing merchant overhead.Intelligent Debugging: Built a custom \"CMS Troubleshooter\" app using Generative AI to diagnose support issues for home/content pages, significantly reducing Backend and Support team turnaround times. With over 8 years of industry experience and an M.S. in Computer Science from Binghamton University, I am passionate about the intersection of high-performance web architecture and AI orchestration.Core Expertise:AI/ML: Generative AI Integration, LLM APIs (Gemini/Claude), Prompt Engineering, AI-driven Internal Tools.Architecture: Next.js, React, Federated GraphQL (Apollo), Micro-frontends, Performance Engineering.Leadership: Architecture Design Reviews (ADR), Mentorship, Cross-functional Stakeholder Management.Let’s connect if you’re interested in the future of AI-powered product engineering or high-scale web performance.
Experience
Senior Software Engineer - Frontend
Jun 2021 — Present · Sunnyvale, CA, US
Lead developer for the complete overhaul of Walmart Canada\'s homepage, search, deals, browse, myItems and content pages. This involved incorporating new and enhanced features using the latest technology stack, including Next.js, Federated GraphQL and React Query. Boosted yearly GMV by 46 M CAD.2. Improved home page performance by implementing a query split for ATF/BTF, resulting in a 20% decrease in TTFB (time to first byte). Suggested solutions to enhance the p99 response time of search/browse pages by separating graphQL queries to get search filters and search results.3. Involved in the development of various features, including Tap To Clip, Multi Save, and Category filters for the myItems page. My responsibilities included collecting requirements from the product owner and UX designers, prepared and presented Architecture Design Review (ADR) documents to technical architects, implemented the features, created user stories for junior developers, and oversaw the deployment and monitoring process from start to finish.4. Collaborated with UX designers to create and deploy reusable components with accessibility in mind, using React.js, for multiple features.5.Provided guidance and support to junior developers within the team as a mentor.
