Aditya SG Vyas currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the QMD Foundation – Quantum Materials & Devices, a Section-8, not-for-profit company established by IIT Delhi under the Government of India’s National Quantum Mission (NQM). In this role, he works with academic research groups, startups, industry partners, and government stakeholders to support quantum technology research and development, with a focus on translating research outputs into prototypes and deployable technologies that contribute to India’s long-term quantum capabilities. The QMD Foundation operates programs with a total sanctioned outlay of approximately USD 38 million.Previously, Aditya served as the CEO of IITI DRISHTI CPS Foundation, where he led its transition from a Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) to a Technology Translation Research Park (TTRP) at IIT Indore, under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NMICPS) supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. During this phase, DRISHTI CPS implemented large-scale programs in cyber-physical systems spanning translational research, startup incubation, industry collaboration, and skill development, with an overall sanctioned program outlay of approximately USD 30 million.Under his leadership, DRISHTI CPS engaged with multiple government ministries and departments, including DPIIT, MeitY Startup Hub, MPSeDC, the Ministry of Defence (through MCTE, Mhow), and the Ministry of MSME, along with industry participation through CSR support from organizations such as Flavorite Technologies, HDFC Bank, and SMC Ltd.Aditya brings over 15 years of experience across technology development, entrepreneurship, CSR, and incubation ecosystems. Earlier in his career, he co-founded and ran a bootstrapped technology design and development firm, working with organizations including Bosch, Panasonic, Yamaha, and CMF. He has also contributed to ecosystem-building initiatives such as the expansion of IIMA Ventures/CIIE.CO (IIM Ahmedabad) startup incubation and acceleration activities in Central India, and the design and execution of startup support programs with partners including SAP India, SAP Ariba, NSTEDB, GIZ, and STPI for both technology and social impact startups.His work sits at the intersection of academia, industry, startups, and public systems, with a consistent focus on technology translation, institution building, and long-term ecosystem development.Views expressed are personal.
