About Aditya Nair
This December, I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with Molecular & Cellular Biology and Intradisciplinary Psychology degrees, eager to continue my involvement in healthcare before I apply to medical school! Since my junior year of high school I’ve been headstrong in achieving my goal of becoming a physician, and every experience I’ve had leading up to today has further validated it. Having worked as a CNA in both short-term rehabilitation and hospital observation settings, I’ve spent time with patients and their families and developed essential skills in communication and time management. I’ve also mastered invaluable techniques for quality acute care and patient advocacy. Additionally, my research experiences at UIUC have grown my repertoire of lab techniques and knowledge of safety regulations. Both labs I’ve worked in have given me opposite yet fascinating glances into neuroscience-related data collection and analysis, and my mentors have ignited a fire in me to unravel more and more of the brain’s mysteries.
