ABOUT ADITYA LAD

I am a Chassis Design and Manufacturing Engineer at Purdue Electric Racing, a student-led electric vehicle racing team, where I design and manufacture the chassis for a single-seater electric racing vehicle along with a team of seven other students from various engineering disciplines. I have a bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Automotive Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, and I am currently pursuing a master\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. My core competencies include battery electric vehicle (BEV) design, manufacturing, transmission design, and 3D printing. In my previous roles, I have applied my skills and knowledge to design and implement innovative and cost-effective solutions for electric vehicle components and systems. As a Design Engineer at Fuse AE, I designed and implemented a liquid cooling system for electric vehicle batteries and motors, managed the sourcing and procurement process for all necessary materials and components, and conducted rigorous testing and inspection on the system and the vehicles. As a Research and Development Intern at Shanthi Gears Limited, I trained in the design, analysis, prototyping, and reverse-engineering of gearboxes for industrial applications, and aided with GD & T practices and engineering drawing preparation for production. I also completed a primary project to design and manufacture an electric vehicle transaxle, which we completed ahead of time. I am passionate about electric vehicle technology and innovation, and I am motivated to contribute to the team\'s goals and vision of creating a trend in sustainable vehicles. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have worked with different software, tools, and methods for electric vehicle design and manufacturing, and I have collaborated with various stakeholders, customers, and professionals in the automotive industry.
