The project focuses on the automated detection of crevasses in ice sheets by analyzing Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) data using deep learning techniques. GPR signals are processed to enhance subsurface features, remove noise (such as low-frequency trends and clutter), and highlight potential crevasse signatures. The processed GPR radargrams are then divided into fixed-size windows and analyzed using deep learning models trained to identify crevasse-related hyperbolic reflections.
