ABOUT ADITYA AHLAWAT
As Director of Emergency Medicine and Chief of Medicine at Putnam County Hospital, my goal is to lead by providing exceptional care to my patients. I have been working as an ER and hospitalist physician for almost a decade. I am also the Medical Director of Pulmonary Rehab, and have previously led the outpatient family medical practice as well. My multidisciplinary role has given me unique insight into the myriad challenges and opportunities that patients, clinicians, and administrators face in an ever-evolving healthcare platform. I intend to continuously leverage my medical and business skills to improve patient safety, quality, and efficiency within the hospital setting.In addition to my clinical duties, I am passionate about educating the physicians of tomorrow. As an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine, I am enthusiastic about mentoring medical students in their journeys towards becoming physicians and pursuing quality and empathetic patient care. I have been a clerkship preceptor for emergency medicine since January 2022, and I also serve as Community Faculty at Indiana University Health, where I supervise, precept and collaborate with residents and faculty within the Family Medicine Residency Clinic.
