ABOUT ADITI BASU BAL

As a Data Scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, I support global drug development by integrating, visualizing, and analyzing data to inform clinical development strategies and decision-making. I apply advanced analytics to model clinical and real-world data, leveraging quantitative methodologies and cutting-edge technologies to generate meaningful insights that drive scientific and regulatory advancements.With over eight years of research experience in computational statistics, dynamic network modeling, and machine learning, I bring a strong foundation in mathematical and applied statistics to the field of data science. My Ph.D. research in Statistics focused on the geometric analysis of network-type object data, developing methods to enhance disease prognosis through the study of complex networks derived from medical imaging, including 3D Magnetic Resonance Angiography and Color Fundus Photography. Additionally, I worked on a computer vision project applying statistical tools to network time series for Bayesian object tracking using multi-modal sensors.Previously, I interned as a data scientist at Genentech and Chan Zuckerberg Biohub, contributing to digital biomarker discovery using medical imaging and evaluating spatial transcriptomics algorithms. These experiences, along with collaborations with leading researchers worldwide, have strengthened my ability to apply advanced analytics to biomedical and clinical research challenges.I am passionate about using data-driven insights to accelerate drug development, improve patient outcomes, and contribute to the future of healthcare through innovative analytical approaches.
