Managing team with 6 to 10 engineers for daily project activities & to achieve project milestones.• To design Automotive Lighting Products from given A-Surface to complete functional Lamps.• Lead cross-functional teams in developing new products from concept to SOP with effective interaction between teams like Photometry, CAE, Electronics, Testing, Tooling, Quality, Process and Component development.• Generate cost reduction ideas, validate & implementation, co-ordinate with plant for trial activities.• Analysis on quality concerns, identify root cause & improvement actions. Prepare the Design change request.• Assisting in the knowledge build process to improve the standards and design rules based on feedback from projects.• Taking inputs from Marketing in order to plan and design new products with lower cost or value addition with budget and time constraints in mind.• Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and emerging trends in Lighting to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement to enhance product performance and functionality.• Designing lamp with ECE & AIS regulations• Sealing feasibility for lamp considering hot melt, PUR, Hot plate welding, Vibration, and Ultrasonic welding• Design of locaters and fixing. Tolerance stack-up study to achieve fit & finish.• Tooling feasibility for lamp parts considering Mold flow analysis, Parting line, Slider & Lifter movements, ejector pin, gate location etc.• Design lamp with considering Thermal, Vibration, photometric simulation & DVP testing requirements.• Preparation of documents like BOM, DFA, DFM, DFMEA. Need to release Assembly & parts drawings for inspection.• Design Review for new product with CFT Member on every phase of product design.• To attain DVP testing of T0, T1, samples & get it resolved if any issues comes with lamp.• To support CFT for product design related problems till final product launch.
