1) Transitioned in-house into a small, essentially autonomous in-house team (GC and Head of Legal) for a UK & CHI based financial services firm (£19.2bn AUMA at 31.03.25, £16.8bn on 30•••32) Integrated rapidly into the business, updating the Group’s T & Cs and Privacy Notice and leading the critical FCA NOMAD and Broker contractual negotiations before Christmas 2023. 3) Heavily involved in a range of projects including three redundancy exercises, the sale of our offshore business, several M&A acquisitions exceeding nine figures in value integrating / consolidating the Group and establishing a new “Brooks Financial” trading style, managing and implementing actions required from audits relating to Data Protection, FCA and HMRC. 4) Assumed primary or sole responsibility for: supplier contract negotiations; DPO function; integration of acquired companies; facilitating “Brooks Financial” FP division and numerous new services (mortgage and insurance brokerage, employee benefits, etc), including harmonising all their legal terms and approach to contractual suite generally, plus drafting communications to impose those terms and novating clients and suppliers; taking charge of our IP regime, successfully applying for 20 trademarks; advising internal Complaints team; managing litigation and CIFO / FOS complaints, including obtaining a High Court ECRO; drafting our standard form NDA; drafting our standard form Recruiter Agreement; drafting and negotiating our standard Sponsorship Agreement; supporting our RaC and Financial Crime teams; advising HR on dismissals/redundancies and preparing settlement agreements; updating procedures, such as for deceased clients and JISAs; etc. This further escalated after our GC left in November 2025. 5) Conceptualised and drove a restructuring of our supplier management process, ensuring that legal and DPO input was obtained prior to external discussions.
