About Adida Ikongshul
I was born in Nigeria and raised in a humble environment before being brought to the United States by my incredible American family, who are also my legal guardians. Having experienced both hardship and opportunity, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for resilience, gratitude, and growth.Adjusting to a new culture and way of life was challenging, but it revealed one of my greatest strengths: adaptability. As a high-level basketball player at both the high school and collegiate levels, I learned early what it means to meet rising expectations and to rise with them.My work ethic reflects this. I graduated high school with a 4.1 cumulative GPA and earned a full athletic scholarship to Western Michigan University, where I competed at the Division I level. Despite the demanding balance of NCAA athletics and academics, I maintained above a 3.5 GPA every semester and graduated with Cum Laude honors.Driven to lead and create meaningful impact, I recently completed my Master of Business Administration at WMU. I currently work in Brand Marketing and aim to transition into a customer facing sales role where I can build relationships, drive value, and contribute directly to organizational growth.At my core, I believe in teamwork and in supporting others to achieve success, fulfillment, and recognition in what they do. I’m passionate about using my problem solving skills to help organizations tackle complex challenges particularly within the healthcare space.If there’s one thing to take away from my story, it’s that I am intelligent, resilient, and committed. I often describe myself as a “Rowan,” inspired by the classic essay A Message to Garcia: if something needs to be done and done well, I’m the person you can count on.
