Powerless,\" echoed the words of a widowed mother in Pangkep, one of the poorest regions in Indonesia, during my study with J-PAL in 2020. Her story of promised aid never received struck me, especially after unboxing the undeserving relief in the metropolitan city of Jakarta weeks prior. The injustice I encountered firsthand sparked a crucial question: Should not policymaking fight for the poor?Determined to reshape Indonesia\'s policy landscape, my stellar economics background, embellished with accolades from global and regional competitions, fuels my passion.
