1. Surcharge Project Manager at Verizon Business

   In my role as surcharge project manager at Verizon Business, I’m charged with the program management of the following Federal Universal Service Fund (FUSF)-based projects; 1. Certifications Management: In line with the FCC mandate on FUSF charges, I coordinate the technical and business teams in charge to ensure the affected customers provide certifications for their intrastate circuits. The project has been able to save $24.4m in EBITDA till date accounting for up to 95% of the FUSF expense initially at risk 2. FUSF Process Management: In order to ensure customers certify their intrastate circuits before implementation, a business as usual process was put in place across technical and business teams. This was launched within 1 year of the program preventing Verizon from paying out of pocket for FUSF charges 3. FUSF Database Management: The FUSF database is developed to serve as a data store and reference tool for all certified FUSF circuits. The database increases efficiencies by cutting off costs due to manual reconciliations and is accessed by compliance and regulatory teams like Legal, Tax, Operational Assurance and IT for easy audit. The database is created using MS SQL which I work with extensively using MS SQL Server Management Studio for querying and MS Access for frontend access. Billing Implementation Management: This project involves the implementation of FUSF charging and accounting capability across 2 main billing systems for the legacy wireline products. The project impacts about 14 downstream systems 5. Using SDLC methodology framework, I created project management plans and auditable automated FUSF-saving progress trackers using Smartsheet, business cases using MS Excel and executive project reporting using PowerPoint 6. I also did extensive work on data analysis and mashing in order to distil it for easy review and reporting
