Responsible for the coordination of statewide planning, monitoring, managing, and responding to HIV clusters/outbreaks.• Coordination of core HIV surveillance activities, including field activities.• Epidemiologic support for data reporting, use of data, and interpretation of reports to ensure accurate and complete HIV reporting.• Develop, implement, and evaluate statewide program activities intended to improve surveillance, tracking of occurrence, and transmission of HIV/AIDS in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.• Collaborates with Bureau of Epidemiology staff in the implementation of Commonwealth-wide state-of-the-art surveillance, epidemiology, and public health programs to identify, investigate, control, and prevent dangerous infectious disease outbreaks in Pennsylvania.• Participates in statewide, interstate, and/or national including CDC-sponsored HIV surveillance and epidemiology study activities in collaboration with other State Departments of Health officials.• Public Health Emergency response when needed.
