He is the owner and creative director at Adept Creative.After college, Mike Robinson started his career in professional sports working in sales, promotions, and game night operations for the Youngstown Steelhounds professional hockey organization. The Youngstown Steel hounds operated from 20••••08 as a part of the CHL.“While with the Youngstown Steelhounds I had a chance to dip my toes in a wide range of activities from sales and promotions to live production and entertainment design. I was very fortunate to be offered the opportunities to experience and seriously develop skills in such a fun environment.” Robinson started his own freelance company focusing on designing promotional artwork, booking, and marketing for the music industry. In the 4 years between 2009 and 2017, Mike Robinson performed, promoted, or produced over live performances and events. From 2013 to 2017, Mike Robinson was an in-house marketing and branding consult delivering marketing and branding strategies to over 30 charter schools, including 4 charter school start-ups. Durning this time Robinson began freelancing under the name Advantage-point marketing and would offer promotional and visual design services, marketing strategy, and digital marketing services like SEO, content marketing, digital advertising, and web design.In 2017 Mike Robinson merged his two business ventures and founded Adept Creative; with a mission to develop efficient and scalable design systems, to create a workplace culture that reinforced a proper work/life balance, encourages constant skill improvement, while building a flexible and highly adept team who could provide a variety of design and media production services that focused on brand storytelling.
