Working in partnership with families and multi-agencies to undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify any safeguarding or child protection concerns, and taking appropriate actions through signs of safety and strengths-based approach in line with Brent LSCB child protection procedures. Identifying support needs and providing intensive intervention services to families who have complex support needs such as anti-social behaviour, mental health problems, substance misuse, domestic violence issues or family breakdown, to improve outcomes for families, children and young people. Advising and assisting families in obtaining all necessary benefits/payments, health care and all other services to which they are entitled. Supporting a complex child and family workload includes liaising with other professionals when cases need to ‘step up’ or ‘step down’ to a different level of need. Planning delivering and reviewing evidence-based parenting programmes for families and individuals within the families to achieve the aims of the Service.
