Appointed to direct strategic initiatives, organizational development, business administration, and field operations for the City of Austin\'s Parks and Recreation department. In this role, I lead efforts to strengthen interdepartmental collaboration, enhance planning and reporting systems and help shape the department\'s structure and long-term strategic direction. Austin Parks & Recreation is a CAPRA accredited system that consists of acres of land and water, including 330 parks, 200 miles of trails, a diverse portfolio of facilities such as the historic spring-fed freshwater Barton Springs Pool and Deep Eddy pool, Austin Nature and Science Center, Zilker Botanical Gardens, golf courses and cemeteries, and more traditional amenities such as sports fields and courts, playgrounds, swimming pools, splash pads, and community and recreation centers.
