Preclinical modeling of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapies for pediatric solid tumors with the application of preclinical data to manufacturing and clinical trials.Second genetic modification of CAR T cell therapy for solid tumors to improve their persistence and effector function via silencing epigenetic and/or metabolic negative regulator of T cells.CRISPR Cas9 editing of CAR T cells and in vivo CRISPR screen to identify novel targets to improve CAR T cell therapy.Experience working with osteosarcoma (OS) genetically engineered mouse models with clinically relevant mutations for realistic evaluation of CAR T cell therapy for OS.Elucidating the mechanism of immune evasion and exploring approaches to improve anti-tumor activity of edited CAR T cells for early phase clinical trial.Designed 36-color multiparametric flow cytometry panels for analyzing extracellular and intracellular murine immune cell subsets post-adoptive cell therapy. I have gained experience in using single-cell transcriptomics approaches to understand the murine OS immune landscape post-CAR T cell therapy. Exposure to translational cancer immunotherapy approaches and how to identify promising candidates for clinical trials. Received T32 NIH Award grant for Outstanding St. Jude Postdoctoral Fellow in Pediatric Immuno-oncology Training.Selected as an American Association of Immunologists (AAI) Public Policy Fellow; thus received training on science policies and how to advocate biomedical research funding for NIH on Capitol Hill, Washington, DC. Volunteered as a STEM facilitator for patients at the St. Jude School Program.Patients and families engagement in solid tumor clinic during clinical shadowing with a St. Jude’s Physician-Scientist. Engagement at the St. Jude Postdoctoral Leadership Council (PDLC) and coordination of weekly presentations by Faculties, trainees and staff in the Department of Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy.
