ABOUT ADELAIDE MASTERSON

I am pursuing a Master of Science in Public Health and a Master of Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (expected 2027). My work centers on infectious disease, biodefense, and global health infrastructure, with a focus on how scientific innovation translates into commercially viable and strategically financed infrastructure.I currently serve as a Project Specialist with Latham BioPharm Group (part of Sia Partners) in the Government Services practice. I advise life sciences companies on non-dilutive capital strategy, supporting the identification, pursuit, and management of federal and international funding aligned with product development and commercialization milestones.I have supported proposals submitted to agencies including Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, spanning vaccine platforms, advanced biomanufacturing, and preparedness capabilities.Through this work, I have developed a strong interest in capital formation in life sciences, public–private funding alignment, and the infrastructure required to build durable global health and biosecurity resilience.I earned my B.S. in Healthcare Studies and Biology (Neuroscience concentration), with a minor in Latin American, Iberian, & Latino Studies, from the University of Richmond in 2021.
