ABOUT ADEFOLUKE SHEMSU

I\'m most intrigued by the various ways that people are organized within institutions, the intricacies of the behaviors shaping those institutions, and the role technology plays within or around those human layers. Through an intentional pursuit of understanding the input -> throughput -> output functions of technology companies, I\'ve become a \"specialized generalist\", where customer and client-facing roles in B2C, B2B, and advisory environments have enabled me to adapt the breadth or depth of my impact based on the needs and objectives of the team, ranging from strategic recommendations to technical solutions. My technical experience focuses on applying data and technology to strategic and operational challenges, from measuring change, enterprise performance, and communications to forward-tilted functions like product, customer success/experience, and go-to-market. My domain and strategic experience span fintech and AI startups (in revenue/product), social impact (nonprofits/public sector), and advisory/management consulting roles. In each, I ran a gamut of organization sizes, complexities, missions, and sectors. The startup roles enabled me to apply my skills to a multitude of green field problems, while working at large organizations helped me to package, refine, and define how that approach connects to clear enterprise value. I focused on the core barrier to transformative change, enriching *what* we delivered to customers, clients, and other stakeholders, and accelerating *how* we did it through the processes and technologies underlying our delivery model. Through these experiences, I’ve integrated numerous perspectives on cross-functionality and operational excellence, with technology as the force-multiplying overlay.
