Responsibilities: • £9m business with over 200+ staff. • Line management of finance, HR, IT, Estates and all other non-teaching teams across the trust of 6 academies. • Preparation of three year budgets for board approval including proposal of plans to increase profitability. • Lead on preparation of long term capital expenditure plans for board approval. • Lead on preparing for both internal and external audit • Optimisation of finance processes to achieve efficiencies • Lead on quality assurance checks to ensure compliance • Lead on due diligence and on-boarding of new academies • Introduction of integrated curriculum financial planning model and highlighting areas of savings • Production of detailed benchmarking reports against companies of similar size and field for the board and identification of key areas of concern • Introduction of an efficiency drive across the board to achieve significant savings in various areas such as energy, reprographics, contract and agency costs. • Advise the board on key strategic decisions. • Identify different private funding avenues and lead on submitting applications for appropriate projects. • Identification of investment opportunities to increase income. • Working capital management and cashflow forecasts. • Production of annual statutory audited accounts for board approval • Manage the relationship with the bank as well as internal and external auditors
