I am a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) with 12 years of overall experience, including 7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). I have worked at renowned global audit firms such as Ernst & Young (EY), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Grant Thornton (GT) in the UK and internationally. Currently serving as Commercial Audit Manager at Grant Thornton UK, my expertise lies in managing audits, financial accounting and reporting, consolidations, month-end and financial statements close processes.I excel in preparing and reviewing detailed trial balances, converting them into statutory financial statements, and ensuring comprehensive disclosures. The extensive audit experience has provided insights into financial statements, internal controls, significant processes, and various accounting standards, including FRS 101, FRS 102, IFRS, and US GAAP, along with reporting under SOX Section 404.The multifaceted current role involves tasks such as preparing detailed audit plans, addressing audit risks, assessing management processes, reviewing trial balances and financial statements, planning and testing internal controls under SOX Section 404, analysing variances at different stages of the audit, reviewing reconciliations, handling complex accounting matters, leading on-site teams, ensuring timely communication of significant issues, preparing presentations for audit committees, mentoring junior team members, and coordinating with various teams for effective audit completion.
