AWCC is Afghanistan\'s first wireless communications company, with employees. As Senior Finance Manager, I oversee the entire asset life cycle of the company while leading the fixed asset and inventory teams. Part of my role is to provide strategic leadership in developing management accounts, including site-wise profitability report that shows the revenue, costs and profit contribution of each site to the bottom line.Key Contributions- Improved Property, Plant and Equipment inventory management, increasing reporting visibility, saving >$1m in redeploying assets to sites and earning $100k through selling obsolete items discovered- Led network and non-network asset tagging project, building business case for Enterprise Asset Management system and completing asset verification exercise- Setup the Fnance Business Partnering function in CapEx Management, communicating the importance of collaboration between Finance and Project teams to ensure efficiency in project deployments, monitoring, delivery and effective cost tracking and management- Prepared the Business case for connecting more cell sites to the national grid, leading to >10% reduction in diesel costs between 2021 and 2023- Fostered stronger cross-functional links between finance and project teams, reducing WIP balance from >$36m in 2020 to <$25m in 2021, accelerating asset capitalisation and reducing depreciation catchup- Created robust project tracking, increasing visibility to actuals vs budget, identifying October spend of $22m vs full-year budget of $25m and meeting KPI through establishing critical deliverables with CTIO- Raised over $500k on asset disposal in 4 years by leading process review, update, and Implementation to achieve cooperation between the finance, procurement, technical deployment & operation teams- Developed asset management process that led to savings of over $2m by working with the technical team to identify obsolete items and following through to its disposal.
