About Addison D. Davis
A nationally recognized leader with extensive experience in the sustainability field at the local, regional, and national levels; Tad successfully led sustainability programs from non-profits in small town America to those addressing the complexities of the Army\'s global \"bootprint\". He previously served as the City Manager for Spring Lake, one of North Carolina\'s most dynamic and fastest growing towns- Prior to joining the Spring Lake team he consulted with a number of public and private entities on sustainability and renewable energy initiatives. Additionally, he served as the Managing Director of Corvias Solutions leading the initial standup of the organization and completion of a $100M public private partnership (P3) with Prince George\'s County, MD to retrofit their stormwater system- Tad completed over 35 years of public service in the military and senior executive levels within the federal government. Initially leading a $1.7B environmental and safety program as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health and later oversaw an investment strategy in support of over 1,200 facilities worldwide as the Chief Executive Officer of the U. S. Army Reserve. As the Assistant Deputy Director for Demand Reduction at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy he led the Administration\'s drug prevention, intervention, and treatment efforts, and the Drug Court Program, across the federal government. While Garrison Commander/\"City Manager\" of Fort Bragg, he led many innovative programs to include the Army’s largest housing privatization partnership, first installation sustainability program, and efforts to increase compatible use of lands adjacent to military installations- From 2005 to 2013 he served as a member of the Conference Board\'s Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Council. In 2011, Tad was named one of 11 Sustainable Innovators in the country by the General Electric (GE) Ecomagination Team.
