About Addie Melchior

Hi there! My name is Addie, and I am a graduate student at George Washington University pursuing my master\'s in public administration. My work centers on addressing systemic policy barriers, strengthening community resilience, and advancing equity through effective public service. I am currently seeking part-time or full-time internship opportunities in the public, nonprofit, local government, or campaign sectors across the DMV. Before beginning my MPA, I spent nearly five years as a Talent Director at Robert Half, partnering with more than 400 organizations across the Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Savannah regions and supporting more than 1,600 successful placements. That experience shaped my commitment to community-focused work. I saw firsthand how access to stable employment, responsive institutions, and equitable systems can transform lives. Relationship-building has always been at the core of my work. Whether I was supporting job seekers, collaborating with employers, or now engaging with policy practitioners and community stakeholders, I bring a people-centered approach grounded in curiosity and empathy to everything I do. I also bring experience in interviewing, research, stakeholder engagement, and project management, along with technical proficiency in Salesforce, Workday, Canva, DOMO, and Microsoft Office. Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, I graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Communication (Public Relations) and a minor in African American Studies. Today, I am excited to continue growing in roles that blend policy analysis, community engagement, and public leadership.
