About Pranav Addepalli
As a research assistant at LCSR JHU Robotics, I work on designing and controlling innovative robotic systems for surgical and diagnostic purposes, such as a mosquito dissection robot for malaria vaccine production, a magnetically actuated robotic agent for clearing occluded blood vessels, and an MRI-compatible robot system for performing a semi-autonomous lumbar puncture procedure. I have led the mechanical design and validation of these systems, and contributed to the control logic and experimentation, using my skills in 3D CAD, NI LabVIEW, and robotics.I have a strong passion for advancing the field of medical robotics, as I believe that these systems can improve the quality and safety of healthcare. I have a master\'s degree in mechanical engineering and robotics from Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, where I also gained teaching experience as a graduate assistant for several courses related to intelligent medical robotic systems and equipment. I am looking for a career opportunity that challenges me to apply my academic and research expertise to other domains of robotics, such as aviation, terrestrial, underwater, production line, and robotic swarms.
