About Add Resources

Our mission at ADD Resources is to help people with ADHD achieve their full potential through education, support and networking opportunities. We are different. We believe in the power of direct human connection as we help those with attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD, also ADD) find help. As a trusted resource since 1994, we provide authoritative, up-to-date and science-based information on ADHD independently. Established as a nonprofit 501(c)(3), we are run by an executive director and adult volunteers with oversight by the Board of Directors. Our funding comes by way of grants, donations and memberships from all over the United States and from foreign countries. Our funding typically comes from intelligent, creative and often highly energetic individuals and organizations.

ADHD INFORM & SUPPORT GROUPS HELP YOU MAKE CONNECTIONSFinding Your PeersIf you think you have ADHD or are diagnosed with ADHD, don\'t go it alone. Just talking with like-minded others helps. An ADD Resources (ADDR) Support Group for ADHD brings you together with others who face similar concerns and who will share experiences and advice. You’ll have a chance to find yourself coping better and feeling less isolated. You’ll be among members of your own tribe who think just like you. What’s A Support Group Like? You attend an ADDR Support Group in person. Your group is facilitated by volunteers who are professionals in related fields or who have experience with ADHD and co-existing conditions. Members also offer practical advice and tips. The topics vary and the structure varies from an educational one with a presentation to one that emphasizes emotional support and shared experiences or both. Participating in support groups helps you:• Develop a clearer understanding of what to expect• Get practical advice about treatment options• Compare notes about resources (like doctors and alternative options)• Talk openly and honestly about your feelingsYou\'ll have a chance when you attend to leave:• Feeling less lonely, isolated or judged• With a sense of empowerment and control• With improved coping skills• With reduced distress, depression or anxietyCheck out our website for a list of ADHD support groups to visit.
