HMRC taught me accounting, and civil service HR systems, BBC for media-tech, PR and London life, but my magnum opus was to create dabs.com at the age of 28, a electronics mail order company that (in the 1990s) became the one of the first really big online stores in the UK. Sales peaked at GBP200M pa, and I sold the company in 2006.Since then, I have been a full-time investor- angel-invested in a dozen companies (two or three successes)- actively traded the currency and stock markets- acted as non-exec chairman of a large IT distributor- built a stock market research firm- actively built a property portfolio, development and lettings business- founded an FCA-regulated IFA and am currently Finance DirectorMy day job now is with MHW, with some work on the property portfolio. I am not open to any other work.I relax at my vacation home in Lanzarote, mejorar mi Español, read voraciously and I am a keen scuba diver.
