Hyundai Motor India Engineering Private Limited (HMIE) was established in November 2006 at Hyderabad, Telangana State, India by Hyundai Motor Group. HMIE is a center with one of the advanced support services for research and development of Hyundai - Kia Motors Company (Namyang, South Korea), Hyundai Motor India Limited (Chennai, India) and Kia Motors India Private Limited (Penukonda, India). HMIE focuses on engineering services and quality enhancement. Now the center enlists around 1000+ trained engineers, with a focus on business acumen, vibrant technical and personal development.
HMIE renders R&D support services in respect of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE). The center uses Computer Aided Software tools and provides support services to Hyundai Motor Company with respect to design of automobile parts, modeling analysis and formulation of 3D CAD model data of vehicle components. The CAE support services use Hyper Mesh comprising of finite modeling for the computer simulation, which involves breaking down the model into various structures and other support services in Vehicle Evaluation and Certification Activities and Design Improvement. The center has successfully provided engineering support solutions to Hyundai Motor’s global best selling car models such as EON, Grand i10, Elite i20, Creta, Verna and New Santro.
