About Adam Tarifi
Within the last 10 years in the Hospitality, Guest Services and Event Production sectors, I have proudly served guests and clients ranging from professional sports teams and athletes, well-known entertainers, lawyers, executives of Fortune 500 organizations, political figures and media personalities amongst many others. Each individual group or client requires nuanced service that is tailored to their specific needs. I believe true VIP service anticipates the needs of the client. We always try to be prepared for what a guest may ask for and be ready for it. This reminds me of one of my favorite sayings:“It’s better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war.”My tenure at the arena downtown taught me the intricacies of executing such huge events every single night without seemingly missing a beat. I was a part of countless basketball, hockey, concerts, award shows, and special experiences throughout my time there. During any of the aforementioned events, I could be found welcoming, directing, and interacting with guests as well as briefing, deploying and managing team members. One of the best lessons was that there is no job too small or too big when you are in a managerial role. After all, our focus is always removing any and all obstacles that may prevent a guest from enjoying themselves.The performance of the talent is always what the guests and fans come to see, but the way they are treated by the team members and managers is almost always a reason for them to return. I can not understate the importance of having a strong relationship with your team and maintaining a respectful and positive work climate that encourages collaboration, open communication and positive accountability. My time at Conrad Los Angeles further honed my skills in delivering luxury and personalized service. My singular background has equipped me with the necessary devices to consistently create cohesive, high-quality experiences that resonate with diverse audiences. I am proud to say that I helped the hotel achieve Forbes Travel Guide four-star rating and was named one of three, Star Staff for the entire hotel.
