Manages all of Union Pacific\'s rail equipment excluding Intermodal. This includes fleet planning and decisions on lease/buy to provide assets for growth and market demands/changes, equipment delivery and order fulfillment to customers on a daily basis, as well as equipment utilization systems to manage empty flows. Responsible for all of Union Pacific\'s equipment leases and car hire budget, as well as freight car capital expenditures. Currently Chairman of NABP (North American Boxcar Pool) and Vice-Chair of EAC (Equipment Asset Committee, as well as member of CAB (Car Advisory Board) and Reload (Automotive pooling). Rail assets include: Multi-level automotive racks, boxcars, flat cars, gondolas, refrigerated boxcars, covered hoppers, open top hoppers and various specialty equipment. Cross Collaboration with: Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Mechanical, Operations, Dispatching, Supply, Finance and Workforce Resources (HR). Team consists of six direct employees and 20 indirect employees.
