ABOUT ADAM RODRICKS
I transform \"word of mouth\" into a world of mouth. Are you ready for a mouthful? My claim to fame in the world of social media and blogging came in 2007 when I reluctantly sold my blog after being served with a cease and desist. The important takeaway from the ordeal was validation: I could make an impact (and a career) through engaging conversation.I’m the best-selling author of Trigger Fingers (#1 on Amazon in Public Relations, Direct Marketing and Business Biographies), a TEDx speaker viewed by hundreds of thousands of people,\'Canada\'s Top Social Media Strategist\'(CTV, CBC, Speakers Bureau of Canada) and a recipient of the Top 100 Canadian Public Speaker Series award (Post Media). In 2022, I was honoured to be named the inaugural recipient of University of Toronto\'s Young Alumni Award for Outstanding Achievement, for my contributions to the field of social media as a practitioner, author and public speaker. In 2023, my TEDxTalk \"How to Build Trust Online\" released to over views in the first four weeks, making it the ninth most viewed TEDx in the entire world (August 2023).I\'ve spent the last 15 years growing the social and digital properties of Canada\'s most prominent brands, managing all aspects of their digital marketing strategy including social listening, management of social media channels, crisis communications and social media programs. I\'m currently the National Director of Digital Advocacy & Executive Affairs at KPMG in Canada. My work as a social media influencer has been featured on CBC, CTV, Yahoo, BNN, DigitalJournal.com, MaximumPC, WhatCulture.com, staples.com, Nintendo.ca, and my own site, addition to my formal work in social media, I\'m also madly passionate about education; I sit on the Digital Program Advisory Committee at Centennial College and I teach my own course at George Brown College in Toronto. What does all of this mean? It means that I help businesses create conversations that resonate with their audiences and increase meaningful chatter, turning posts into conversations, conversations into relationships, and relationships into quality leads.I\'ve engaged millions of followers on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram as well as viewers on YouTube, IGTV and Facebook Live. The most important word in my vocabulary is \'conversation\', and I\'m elated to start one with you.** Conscious of Scott Stratten\'s advice on disclaimers: all views expressed here are my own**
