ABOUT QUENTIN ADAM
I lead the delivery of production-grade Data and AI systems - from large-scale document processing pipelines to multi-agent LLM applications that augment real-world decision making at scale. My current focus sits at the intersection of agentic AI, NLP, and Lakehouse engineering: designing RAG systems on complex use cases with hierarchical retrieval and graph knowledge bases, orchestrating, fine-tuning and context engineering LLMs (Anthropic, OpenAI, open-weight models), and building the data infrastructure that makes AI reliable in production. I\'ve spent 6+ years in NLP work: entity extraction, classification, semantic search, and large-scale OCR and document intelligence pipelines. On the data and AI infrastructure side, I work across both Azure and AWS - Databricks for Lakehouse architecture (Delta Lake, PySpark) and ML/AI work with MLflow, and AWS for S3 data storage and Lambda / Step Functions / EventBridge for serverless event-driven orchestration - paired with Dagster and dbt for pipeline orchestration and transformation, and Terraform + Docker for reproducible infrastructure.I have experience leading cross-functional teams of data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, translating business problems into end-to-end architectures that hold up under high operational load.Beyond client work, I stay deeply hands-on with the frontier of open-source AI and agentic coding. I run a containerized, always-on AI agent on my home server - built on the Claude Agent SDK - that triggers on events, interfaces with my phone and does work autonomously while I\'m away. My personal dev environment is built around current agentic coding practices: skills, hooks, permission guardrails, memory systems, planning tools, and multi-agent orchestration. I use Claude Code as a primary agentic coding tool and OpenCode to stay model-agnostic - swapping between frontier and open-weight models against the same underlying filesystem and workflow setup. This is probably the last time I manually update this bio. At the current pace of progress in this field, it gets outdated within months - and soon, weeks. The underlying human remains the same, with the same discipline, and hopefully that will come through as I let my AI agent take over the manual work.
