ABOUT ADAM MIRON
Adam G. J. Miron, LL.D (hon.), MBA, ICD.D holds an honourary Doctorate of Laws, an MBA, and the Institute of Corporate Directors designation. He has launched more than 15 start-ups and completed three exits — co-creating Canada’s largest independent political news outlet, iPolitics.ca (sold to the Toronto Star), co-founding HEXO Corp, which reached a market valuation of over $3 billion, and leading Brane Trust through its sale to a global fintech. He is also the author of the award-winning, best-selling book Billion Dollar Startup.Currently living abroad and based in Uruguay, Adam is exploring South America with his family while building Founded Partners, an advisory and consulting practice that helps founder-led businesses scale, raise capital, and exit. As Chief Advisor, Adam works deeply with founders through a Founder Advisory model: long-term, psychologically informed relationships that guide leaders through mindspace review, strategic imperatives, and accountability. He most recently served as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of Invest Ottawa, the city’s lead economic development agency for knowledge-based industries, delivering venture development and global expansion programs that catalyze the growth and success of entrepreneurs and firms. Its 2024 Economic Impact Assessment showed a GDP impact of $635 million, the creation of more than jobs, and over $100 million generated in government revenues. In recognition of his contributions, Mayor Mark Sutcliffe proclaimed September 19, 2025, as Adam Miron Day in Ottawa. Adam also chairs the board of the National Children’s Botanical Garden of Canada and previously chaired the fundraising committee for the Ingenium Foundation, supporting Canada’s national science and innovation museums.Adam has served as Entrepreneur in Residence at the Thompson Rivers University Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics since 2019 and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council. He is also an Alumni Industry Panel Member with the Australian Institute of Business. With a deep interest in business and organizational psychology, Adam is completing his MSc and pursuing a DPsych in Business Psychology. His next book, Founder to Founder, is set to be released in 2026.
