About Adam Lance Garcia

I love telling stories. Interviews, videos, prose, screenplays, audio dramas, graphic novels, transmedia—in any genre or format, building a cohesive narrative that both entertains and elucidates, that rewards an audience while also challenging them, is like putting together a puzzle. And it’s consistently the most satisfying aspect of my work as a producer, writer, and director. As Creative Producer for the Culture Division at Condé Nast, making sound decisions under pressure and using challenges as a springboard for innovation are among the things I do best. I try to make my sets welcoming and supportive for talent and crew, keep the production process low-stress and, if possible, fun—encouraging collaboration, incentivizing creativity, and celebrating individuals’ strengths and achievements. It\'s important to me that everyone on my team—whether on-set, in pre-production, working on a script, overseeing an edit—feels like they have a voice and a stake in the project. Whether revitalizing Vanity Fair’s YouTube channel or overseeing the development of a series pilot, I enjoy the challenge of bringing new life to creative projects, stretching the boundaries of an existing story framework without ever breaking it. Also known for my thorough preparation and well-thought-out interview questions, I’ve had the honor of sharing some genuinely revelatory conversations with the talent I’ve interviewed, among them many A-list actors and directors who generously shared insights on their creative process. I consider it a huge honor to be trusted with someone’s personal story.Within my original work, I always seek to take my audience on a journey, crafting worlds that encourage exploration and featuring characters with complexity and depth facing impossible odds. I’m proud to have been recognized with several awards for my novel series, The Green Lama, and currently serve as showrunner for a companion audio drama series that I launched. My original stories have also been featured in a New York Times Editor’s Choice selection, an Indie Book Award winner, and on NPR’s Fresh Air.Let’s INCLUDES:Video Production | Screenwriting | Directing | Editing | Digital Content | Creative Development | Filmmaking Process | Online Series & Pilot Development | Training & Mentoring | Brand-building | Film & TV Industry Trends | Pre- & Post-Production | Research | Emerging Platforms | Social Media Promotion
