About Adam Gibbs
I help lawmakers win by aligning smart policy with persuasive messaging and executing it with discipline.I’m the Communications Director at the Foundation for Government Accountability, where I lead the Messaging Team for a 50-state public policy organization focused on preserving and expanding the American Dream. My work spans polling, message development, media relations, and earned media strategy; partnering with policymakers to change minds, build trust, and ultimately change the law.Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked inside government, managing campaigns, and advancing public policy as a legislative staffer, chief of staff, policy director, and communications manager. That experience shapes how I approach this work: practical, political, and grounded in what actually works outside a white paper.Other organizations make noise. We make a difference. Our approach is deliberately behind the scenes. We earn credibility by doing the homework, respecting the politics, and elevating policymakers who are delivering real outcomes. That strategy has helped drive major wins in areas like food stamp reform, election integrity, welfare reform, and good-government policy in states across the country and in Washington, D.C.I’ve helped significantly increase earned media performance, placing stories and commentary in outlets including Fox News, the New York Post, National Review, The Hill, Daily Wire, USA Today, Politico, The Federalist, Washington Examiner, and others. I regularly present polling and messaging strategy to legislative audiences and guide focus groups designed to test what actually persuades voters. At my core, I’m motivated by winning. Because winning is how ideas become law and improve people’s lives.Work creates dignity, purpose, and the freedom to build a life around your values. That conviction still drives how I approach this job.Outside of work, I enjoy fitness, playing music, tackling home projects, and remain a loyal (and patient) Chicago Bears fan.If you’re serious about persuasion—and serious about winning—I’m always open to a conversation.
