Working alongside DYW (Developing the Young Workforce) visiting partner schools in Aberdeenshire both promoting Optometry as a career through interactive workshops, assemblies, career evenings and creating bespoke work experience placements in store. Through the creation of formal partnerships with local schools, the aim is to expose pupils to options available to them after school and university. More recently l have became involved in a strategy group who will meet and evaluate throughout the year the curriculum support available from local businesses to pupils. This has also seen me assist in mock interviews and also school captain/prefect selection processes which is a great honour to be able to help with.
