About Adam Brown

Full stack JavaScript developer with experience using Node/Express/React/Python to build web apps. Also experienced in systems modeling, statistical/data analysis, biological systems.My name is Adam and I have a naturally analytical and methodical mind. Even from an early age I have been solving puzzles and fixing things for fun. By the time I was 6 I was fixing my own toys, learning how they worked, breaking down where the problem point was, and finding a solution. If I\'m not mistaken I believe that Dilbert called it \'the Nack\'.After graduating high school, I continued on to Georgia Tech where I received my degree in Biomedical Engineering. Unfortunately the job market for that field is extremely competitive, but I managed to grab an entry level position at a diagnostic laboratory. During my time there, and of my own volition, I noticed several issues with efficiency and functionality within the company. And so I was quickly promoted to IT Analyst, being a major influence within the company and helping to drive the company forward. Sadly, the laboratory had some managerial issues which led to the shut down of the entire company. However, I felt that this was a great opportunity for me to change direction. I had always been interested in programming, ever since middle school when I was exposed to basic coding and html. And so I decided to explore that a bit more, and I found out how much I love it. Not only do I enjoy it, but I was good at it! So I enrolled in the Engineering Immersion program at Thinkful, and haven\'t regretted it one bit.
