I imagine and create systems and tools that expand and reinforce NELP’s Communications Team’s capacity to execute strategic communications and narrative shift work to build Black, immigrant worker power and advance transformative solutions to achieve racial and economic justice. My areas of responsibility include: Project Management: plan and oversee production timelines for regular communications products (print publications, email communications, graphic design projects, fundraising materials, events and webinars, etc)and increase the capacity of the Communications team to concurrently execute complex, significant projects (website rebuilding, rebranding implementation, etc).Workflow Improvements: analyze and improve the processes used by staff to collaborate with the goal of increasing transparency, creativity, and a culture of accountability.Program and Strategic Alignment: introduce tools, reports, and collaborative spaces that ensure the products that NELP’s communication team creates align with goals of the team and NELP’s mission, goals, and annual policy agenda.Supervision: provide direction, support, and coaching to staff to contribute to the collective development of NELP’s communication team.I am a proud member of the NELP Staff Association, NOLSW, UAW, LOCAL 2320.
