   I perform a variety of duties as the Assistant Regional Inspector General (ARIG), including- Conducting comprehensive audits of Departmental programs, such as those managed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services- Planning, directing and coordinating the audit segment of the Inspector General annual work plan within the region- Providing line management for the provision of audit services for assigned management and program activities of the Department within the geographic area, as well as planning and coordinating audits of programs and contracts funded by other Federal departments and agencies- Serving as a contact point for advice and assistance on audit matters including programs of other Federal departments and agencies where HHS has audit cognizance- Assuring audit guides were followed, working papers adequately support findings and conclusions and provide sufficient data to prepare a meaningful report, and that the audit objectives are met.
