ABOUT ADAM BALLARD

Experience in government affairs, not-for-profit, education, and social justice/anti-oppression work. Community activist and advocate, primarily on aging and disability-related issues, but I always approach advocacy through an intersectional lens. I have extensive policy knowledge in fair and affordable housing, transportation, community development, strategic planning, and government; and have also worked on healthcare, environmental, and racial justice issues. My goal is to continue to develop as an advocate for all communities impacted by poverty, to connect that work to the larger struggle for holistic justice, and to use my skills in government affairs and legislative advocacy to advance a broad, inclusive, socially responsible agenda for the right company or organization. Specialties: legislative advocacy, constituent-based and issue-based community organizing, policy analysis, systems change advocacy, popular education, meeting/training facilitation, coalition building, leadership development, messaging, strategic planning
