I am an energy and data-driven analyst with a strong foundation in applied mathematics, petroleum engineering, and power systems, currently contributing to regulatory and market analytics at National Grid. My experience spans electricity market analysis, regulatory strategy, and infrastructure planning, where I have led and supported high-impact work across ED3 business planning, investment decision pack development, and stakeholder-driven regulatory submissions. I have developed bottom-up models for EV uptake and industrial heat pump flexibility, produced regional electricity market insights, and validated emissions modelling assumptions to support system-level decision-making.My academic background includes an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Aberdeen (Distinction, top 1%) and a first-class degree in Industrial Mathematics, equipping me with advanced capabilities in reservoir simulation, numerical modelling, and data analysis. I have applied these skills in both subsurface research - enhancing MATLAB-based algorithms for permeability and flow characterisation - and in energy systems, building analytical tools in Excel, and SQL to quantify benefits, optimise processes, and improve forecasting accuracy.I bring a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving, combining engineering principles with data-driven methodologies to address complex challenges across energy systems. My experience working across technical, regulatory, and stakeholder environments has strengthened my ability to translate data into actionable insights, support strategic decision-making, and contribute effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
