As a finance professional with a strong academic foundation and diverse experience in accounting, I am dedicated to driving financial accuracy and strategic insights. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of The Gambia, and a Master’s in Finance from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business (CUNY). I am also planning to pursue my CPA certification, reflecting my commitment to advancing my expertise in the field.In my role as a Staff Accountant at Infodesk, I prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing journal entries and support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. My responsibilities include maintaining closing entry schedules for bank reconciliations, prepaid amortization, fixed assets, and depreciation, as well as computing management fees and accrued interest entries. I also assist in the implementation of the NetSuite Accounting System and record intercompany transactions.I prepare monthly expense analyses and assist in providing necessary information for external audits, ensuring they are completed on time and efficiently. Additionally, I reconcile and clean general ledger accounts for the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts, and manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor invoice input and reconciliation of statements.Previously, I worked at Comfort Quality Services, overseeing financial processing, inventory management, and expense reporting. I began my career as an Account Assistant at the Ministry of Health in The Gambia, gaining valuable experience in payroll and documentation.Proficient in NetSuite, QuickBooks, ExpensePoint, Finex, Microsoft Office, and Google Spreadsheets, I leverage technology to enhance financial processes and effectively manage expenses. I am passionate about using my skills to contribute to organizational success and am always eager to learn and grow in the field of finance.
