I’ve worn a lot of hats in my life—hard hats, leadership hats, and now, the “bridge builder” hat.For years, I worked in transportation and operations management, where I learned the value of efficiency, clear communication, and keeping people moving in the same direction. Those lessons stuck with me—because whether it’s a fleet of trucks or a room full of people with opposing viewpoints, forward progress doesn’t happen without trust, respect, and a shared goal.Today, I’ve taken those skills in a whole new direction. As Director of Media Systems & Operations for Braver Angels, I work every day to help America’s largest grassroots, cross-partisan movement bring people together across political, cultural, and ideological divides. I’m also the host of the Derate The Hate podcast, where I have real, human conversations with guests from all walks of life about how we can replace hostility and division with understanding and connection.My work is rooted in a belief that better communication leads to better communities—and that we all have a role in turning down the temperature in today’s divided world.
