Oversight and management of the tax function for six credit funds, five private equity funds and one BDC fund for a total of 100+ entities representing AUM of $10B.• Responsible for federal, state, and international tax filings for entities in each structure including master funds, general partnerships, blocker corporations, as well as lower-tier aggregators and co-investment vehicles.• Work closely with deal team, legal counsel and external tax team on new deal structuring and tax planning around investment exits.• Collaborate with finance teams and portfolio companies to complete quarterly tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 for entities in the private equity fund structures.• Oversight of FATCA & CRS reporting process as well as 1042 & 8804 foreign investor withholding obligations.• Review and sign off on quarterly and annual tax estimate workpapers as well as corresponding tax distributions for general partners.• Management of German and Luxembourg local tax filings due to German investors and Luxembourg corporations in the credit fund structures.• Coordinate with portfolio companies to compile annual K-1s, tax distribution support and dividend information across the various investment platforms.• Accountable for the filing of Form 5472 for US LLCs with foreign ownership and current year reportable transactions.Lead operational management of one private credit fund with $1 billion in assets from a GAAP perspective, specifically focused on quarterly and yearly financial statements for the master fund, Cayman corporation and general partnership.• Responsible for all entities in the fund structure in terms of accounting, reporting, portfolio company accruals, waterfall allocations, partner capital statements, valuation review, vendor management, distributions to investors, wire uploads, and investor attribute changes.
