The San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission (SMTGC) is led by Adam N. Torres, Chief Gaming Regulator. In this position he has the mandate to protect the integrity, reputation and assets of the casino operation. The commission has broad oversight of all gaming activities, including internal controls, audit, surveillance, investigations licensing and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Mr. Torres assesses overall performance and administration of SMTGC functions and regularly informs the Board of internal and external issues that may affect the organization; along with regular reports and updates to the Tribe’s Business Committee. Mr. Torres is the recipient of many awards and recognition, most recently he was honored by Vixio Gambling Compliance as the 2020 Global Compliance Officer of the Year.
