About Adam Tapp
I started as a software engineer for Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, one of the largest distributed systems in the world. I worked on solutions to improve availability, durability, and decrease latency for our real-time data streaming service, Amazon Kinesis. I have reduced our operations load week over week in a service that is notorious for high operations load. Since Kinesis, I moved to S3 and helped develop the new S3 Express One Zone storage class. This required high output with low deadlines. I worked on multiple customer facing API\'s such as Multi-Object Delete, Multipart upload (Create, Upload Part, Complete), Abort Multipart upload, Get Object Attributes to name a few. I also worked on the metering component of our service. Languages: Rust, Java, Python, Swift, and C. Text Editors: Vim, Sublime Text, VS Code
