ABOUT ADAM STIEG

As a scientist, educator and research administrator in the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) at UCLA, I support the provision of leading-edge, open-access technology resources to the academic and industrial research communities. My research program seeks to bridge the gap between our fundamental understanding of nanomaterials and how these systems tend toward complexity at increased scales. This work focuses on applications-driven discovery in the fields of neuromorphic computing, renewable energy and developmental biology. My research activities are augmented by efforts to develop new educational content that conveys the need for creativity as a key element of innovation.
