WORK HISTORY
Insight Manager @Three Uk
Reading, GB
A multi-faceted role delivering all ad-hoc research needs for Three’s New Products and Propositions team, giving long-term planning support with Future Trends deep dives across the whole Three business and also delivering all ad-hoc research requirements for Three’s sub-brand SMARTY.• I work closely with my stakeholders to proactively identify the right opportunities for research and insight to influence and guide strategic planning and direction. For NPD this spans a wide range of insight needs and methodologies: exploratory workshops and co-creation projects, concept and feature testing, price elasticity through to detailed journey testing in friendly user trials on our customer community. • I am closely integrated into the SMARTY team providing research expertise across marketing to include advertising pre-testing, reasons to choose hierarchies, multi-brand positioning work. I have delivered conjoint work to support tariff refresh and promotional programmes as well as multiple qual and quant methodologies throughout the proposition development process. • I lead our relationship with our partner trends agency and bring signals, trends and innovation updates to all areas the business to help shape future planning and ensure business is set up to succeed with the consumers of tomorrow. I have delivered both through the lens of a specific theme e.g. future of loyalty or sustainability and also through a channel lens e.g. future of retail and the growing role of digital.• In Dec 2024, I was assigned to work on the merger with Vodafone, supporting the ‘clean team’ group with insight to help planning and preparation for merging the two organisations.

ABOUT ADAM SMITH
I am an experienced client-side researcher with a focus on delivering actionable insight which drives business outcomes. In over 10 years of working in research I have delivered tracking and ad hoc work across a wide range of methodologies and am confident being hands-on and leading this in house or managing agency partnerships. I believe that being an effective client-side researcher is not only about being able to design and run high quality research but also translating this into the meaningful ‘so what’ for our stakeholders, giving them the confidence to take the insights and follow them through into delivering improved products for consumers and the business.
